2022 Advocates Summit

The Peggy Lillis Foundation for C. diff Education & Advocacy held our 7th Annual National C. diff Advocacy Summit both in person and virtually on May 2. This year’s Summit had a variety of passionate speakers and panelists committed to C. diff education, antimicrobial stewardship, and patient advocacy. The Summit provides the only opportunity for C. diff advocates to connect with clinicians, researchers, and industry representatives.

2021 Advocates Summit

We hosted our sixth National C. diff Advocacy Summit on April 20 and 22, 2021, the largest gathering of C. diff advocates and our allies in industry, academics, and policymaking in the country. The Summit provides a unique opportunity for clinicians, industry leaders, policy experts and academics to meet and strategize with C. diff survivors and caregivers, all committed to ending the C. difficile epidemic.

While April 21st marked the eleventh year since we lost Peggy Lillis, we scheduled that day to meet virtually with legislators across the country, having meaningful and productive conversations about our experiences with C. diff, raising awareness and asking for their support to pass legislation in the infectious disease space.

2020 Advocates Summit

April 2020 marked a decade since we lost Peggy Lillis to a community-acquired C. difficile infection and founded the Peggy Lillis Foundation (PLF) to combat this disease. It also marked our fifth National C. diff Advocacy Summit.

Initially planned to once again be held in Washington, DC, due to COVID-19 PLF moved to a virtual Summit which took place on April 20 - 22, 2020. We had a record 300+ in attendance, including advocates, presenters, health care professionals, sponsors and the public.

2019 Advocates Summit

On Monday, April 8th Peggy Lillis Foundation convened its fourth annual National C. diff Summit at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC. The Summit welcomed more than 70 participants, including 25 members of PLF’s Advocates Council for a day of learning, discussion and networking. Another 100 people watched the Summit sessions via live stream. Our Summit is the sole national event bringing together advocates, researchers, industry leaders and healthcare workers to fight C. diff.

2017 Advocates Summit
