C. diff Advocates Summit

PLF believes that patient and citizen advocacy — combined with efforts by public health experts, healthcare workers, and facility administrators — is the key to reversing the tide of harm caused by CDIs. The goal of the Inaugural C. diff Advocates Summit is to prepare 25 powerful advocates to engage in building a nationwide C. diff awareness movement by educating the public, empowering fellow advocates, and playing a role in shaping state and federal policy.

Over two days, PLF will provide training and knowledge to 25 advocates – both those who’ve suffered CDI directly and through loved ones – on a range of subjects including speaking to the press; citizen lobbying at the state and federal level; engaging doctors, healthcare workers, and administrators; serving on state and facility healthcare associated infections committees; providing patient perspectives to quality improvement organizations; and providing emotional support to current sufferers and caregivers.

Space is limited. You can view our proposed agenda here: PLF C. diff Advocates Summit Agenda. To apply please fill out our Advocates Council Application by Monday, August 10, and we will contact you shortly.
