Get ready to fight the menace of superbugs
Superbug infections pose a significant threat to the well-being of Ohioans, young and old. These are infections that have become resistant to many antibiotics and include Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and clostridium difficile (C. diff.), both superbugs that infected our parents.
Deaths and injury from them are preventable, but only if we step up the fight through federal policy, public health and frontline delivery of care. U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown of Ohio is taking the lead on this high-stakes struggle. Will more Ohioans join the effort?
